Namaste Imagination Yoga

Every Tuesday Cal takes yoga at school. He says they pretend to be helicopters and rocket ships. Here's what his instructor had to say about their last quarter:

"We had a lot of fun learning new yoga poses and making our way through fun and exciting adventures, such as: Imagine Yoga in the Jungle, Imagine Yoga in Outer Space, Imagine Yoga in a Winter Wonderland, Imagine Yoga in the Ocean and many more. We spent the entire three months intertwining our Kindness curriculum into every class. Next to our drive to inspire children to move, is our focus on kindness. One of our favorite things to say to the children is “It is your job as human beings to be kind and respectful to yourselves, your families, your teachers, your friends and your community”. We take the time to send love to kids all around the world that are not as fortunate as we are. We have also spent a lot of time on the idea of interconnection. At the end of each class we put our hands to our hearts and say “Kind hearts”, next we put our hands to our mouths and say “Kind words” and lastly we put our hands to our foreheads and say “Kind thoughts”. I explained to the children that the words we use have an effect on the people around us and if we do our best to spread kindness with our “hearts, words and thoughts” that we are doing our part to bring more peace and light to our planet."

Cute!
