For Halloween this year, Cal and Ben sent fun packages to a few friends. Inside were treats, along with a big hairy spider. Prodded by my questions, Cal also dictated a short story about each spider to accompany the goodies. Despite similar Qs, each spider got different As, making 4 unique stories. Here's one example:
"Here is a spider for Halloween. Halloween is when you get a pumpkin and put a light in it to see in the forest. His name is Henry. Please take a picture with him at your house and send it back to me. He likes to build a web. He says, "No treats." At the zoo, Henry likes the lions. Why? Because. Happy Halloween. Love you!"
Each recipient took a photo with their spider and sent it back to us for posting on our kitchen wall. It was a fun way to celebrate Halloween and decorate. Although, I wish I did copy down each story for the record books.
