Fire Station Visit

Yesterday, we made an impromptu stop by our nearby Tualatin Valley Fire Station for a tour. Firefighter Jeff #1 and Firefighter Jeff #2 were very nice and helpful; showing Cal all the gadets and tools in the station. Some memorable moments from our visit:

• Jeff #1 asked Cal what his name was. Cal replied, "Cal. C-A-L. Cal."


• Cal proceed to explain to the firefighters in a very serious voice...(with his hands out to the sides like he was stopping traffic) "Fire is dangerous. Yeah, don't drive your car into it. That is bad."


• Jeff #1 was explaining the fire pole and that upstairs the firefighters were eating lunch. Cal promptly invited himself up to see where they live. Jeff #1 denied the request.
