Today marks our Baby Ben's 4 month birthday! The time has flown. Milestones for Ben at 4 months include:
- 14 lbs., 9 oz. (45%)
- 25 inches (56%)
- His cheeks are often pink, appearing flushed. (Much like his Mom's cheeks)
- Ben loves to watch himself in mirrors - especially when taking a bath
- Ben will not take a bottle and does not like formula. We're working on this, considering he'll soon have to take bottles at school in only two short weeks! His doctor today said that he can start solids -- rice cereal and veggies, here comes Ben!
- When he smiles, Ben has a signature smile -- he gets "shy" and turns his head to his shoulder. Very sweet!
- Ben loves to sleep in his swing. He goes to bed around 7 and I typically put him in the swing to start. He'll sleep until midnight, or 1 a.m. I'll then move him into the co-sleeper crib, until he wakes around 3. After then, I normally put him in bed with us, as he'll wake at 4 and then 6, finally fully waking between 7 and 7:30.
- Ben's eyes are now a lighter blue. His hair is growing in -- it appears to be an auburn/blond mix.
- Ben loves to suck on his hands and is starting to naw on soft toys. He will grasp items and hands for short periods of time and brings toys to his mouth. Sophie, his giraffe from France, is one of his favorites.
- He's moved into size 2 diapers and is out growing 3 mo. clothes.
- Ben is not a fan of tummy time. Since birth he's been able to hold his head up and he now can sit up for long periods of time, with the assistance of pillows or hands. However, during tummy time, he's hesitant to hold self up with his arms and holds his arms out to his sides.
- Ben is a talker! He loves to babble for minutes at a time. He laughs and smiles.
