Cal's Christmas Story

Last week we unpacked our Christmas decorations for the house. Cal was a great helper and especially liked my nativity set. I explained who each figure was and why they were important/special to Christmas. As I unwrapped our ornaments, Cal took to his new "action figures" and began role-playing. Here's what I overheard:

Cal: "Hi Baby Jonah." (Baby Jonah?!?)
Mommy to Cal: "That's baby Jesus."
Cal (holding one of the wisemen): "I brought you a gift Baby Jonah."
Mommy thinking to herself: "Oh, how nice. He remembered the story!"
Mommy to Cal: "What did you bring him?"
Cal (obviously, caught off guard by my question): "I brought you a...(thinking hard)...a snack! Yeah, a snack. Isn't that nice Daddy?" (addressing Joseph)
