1. Cal leaving out carrots, cookies and milk for Santa and his "reindeers." When visiting Santa, Cal asked Santa if he liked milk or chocolate milk. Santa had said, "both", so Cal chose to leave out regular milk to help "make him strong." I love that we may have started a new tradition for Christmas Eve - making sugar cookies for Santa. Kept Cal occupied and was a fun family activity.
2. Hunting for a red bouncy ball on Christmas Eve. Lesson learned by this mommy: we'll visit Santa more than 48 hours in advance of Christmas.
3. Holding hands and singing Kumbaya at the dinner table, while wearing napkin rings on our heads. Don't ask!
4. Alan (aka "the Laborer") auctioning off his services in the Barclay annual gift exchange. His gift certificate for 2 hours of manual labor was a hot item -- finally taken by his Dad. Think Alan will be splitting wood in the New Year!
5. Family, friends and enjoying the holidays through the eyes of 5 little cousins! I don't know who had more fun - Cal getting toys or Mom and Dad giving them.
6. Ben's 1st Christmas! From baby's 1st Christmas ornaments, reindeer jumpers, cushy fun baby toys, etc. it was a holiday to remember.
